Magical Myanmar Photography Tour

myanmar_tourYANGON + BAGAN + SHWEZIGON PAGODA FESTIVAL

1 – 5 November 2017

Take a  journey to the past in this beautiful, untouched corner of the world.  Experience the colonial charm of Yangon’s downtown area, share a laugh with the local vendors and be wowed by the city’s iconic Shwedagon Pagoda at sunset.

A short flight takes you to the ancient city of Bagan, where over 2200 temples and pagodas dating back to the 9th to 13th centuries await you.  But don’t worry, we’re not going to visit all of them!  The highlight of our stay in Bagan is the Shwezigon Pagoda festival – a 10 Day celebration attended by thousands of villagers from the whole region.  The highlight of this event is the procession of hundreds of monks collecting donations on the Full Moon day of Tazaung Mone on 3rd November so you’ll get to experience this very special celebration and you’ll have amazing opportunities to photograph the monks, devotees, temporary markets, entertainments happening in the villages, and so much more.

We’ll also take a break from festivities to capture an unforgettable sunrise from a hot air balloon flight (optional but highly recommended), take a sunset horse cart ride through the countryside and, before we return to Yangon, enjoy a magical sunset sipping sundowners on the Ayerwaddy river.
